How the garden looks!

It as been a while since I've written anythink. To be honest my life if up in air at the moment.  That much so I have let the garden do what it want's.

I have even let every single weed or should I say miss placed plants. Yes there is dandelions!

You may have noticed the buddleia is no longer. Like we are all told buddleias will take over.  Well it's true, the buddleia started to take over the garden.  Which isn't good for my little garden.

The Chop

Sometimes I do wonder why I do this blog and the #treefollow.

Then somethink happens and then I remember why I started Busy Bees Garden or should say it was originally called My Little Garden Heaven. For me it is my way to show and express my love for all things plant/gardening related....

Kind of my way of taking some of the load off driving my family up the wall..

Talk about family before joining looseandleafy #treefollow ... I use to repeat the same info to each family member that asked about our tree... But now I just send them all a link to this blog..

So back to the tree in question. . .

I wander past the Saint John's Gardens nearly every day.  So I notice when some think as happened within the gardens and especially
 with Grand's tree.

Please don't judge nor laugh when I say not a lot is happening to grandmothers tree, even the little flowers that was at the base of the tree as gone...

Makes me wonder were the flowers have gone too.. They were there yesterday , but have gone today. Makes me think have they died over night or have they been picked. . . We will never know!

One thing I have noticed is the local council gardening team are working in the gardens.  I was entirely sure what they were up to. Until I walked past just now.....

They are giving the Roses the chop...

Not the best picture in the world, but you can see some of the rose bushes..

Mother's Day Gift

Around the 27th February I started to think about Mother's Day, and what was I going get my mum.

For the last three years or more my mum has wanted a Rosa called Patricia. (Patricia is my mum's name) So for the last three years or more I have been busy trying to get the rose for her.  But I had not succeed until now!

I started off searching online for the plant like I did before in the past. But this time I found three nurseies that said they had the Rosa Patricia on their website.  So I emailed all three, to find out if the rose was in stock.  Two emailed back to say "sorry we do not have the 'Patricia' in stock.

I was at the last straw, until I had an email back from the team at Wych Cross Nursey.  The Wych Cross Nursery had the 'Patricia' rose in stock.  So on the Tuesday 6th March I did my order for the rose. About 5mins later I had my email from Wych Cross to confirm they had my order.  The following day (7th) the nursery emailed me to say they had sent out the plant and should be with me in the next 24hrs.

So the next day (8th) I went to work like I normally do. While I was there I was hoping and praying I would be home for when the rose was deliverd.  But once I had finished and left the building, I phoned home just to say I was on my way. To be told that there was a box in the living room with my name on it from some garden centre.

Once I had got home, I opened up the box took out the leafets. Then I popped it outside and secertly took off the name tag.  I had to take the name tag off just in case mum tryed to see what the name was. The days that followed the rose grew and my mum kept asking questions about it. I Knew she kind off knew, you can never get much past her. :-)

Sunday 18th March
The picture above was took today and  I got told I shouldn't of and it must of been a lot of money. Every year I get told I shouldn't have, but do I listen... no!

The Little Green House Activities

I thought all was doing well in my little green house until the other day.  I un-zipped its little doors and peeped inside.  To my horror there was two snails and a slug or was it a snail without a shell? So out they went!

Then I checked all the plants I have in the green house. The Strawberries plants, the lil rose and the Centaurea Montana are doing really well.

But when I checked the Aloe Vera to my shock horror. There was eggs. It could only be those of the snails. Arrggggh!!!
So I re-potted the Aloe Vera and bagged up the soil with the eggs in flatted them too.

The only nice surprise I had in my lil green house was.  My two Goji plants had so far survived winter and have new fresh buds on. :D
